YOSHI’S June 18 2012
After all the formalities of a meeting, we closed an afternoon with Lady Sha at her favorite restaurant called Yoshi’s in West Hollywood. If you’re coming down Santa Monica Blvd into the area, you’d likely miss it. It’s a small place overshadowed by neighboring businesses and large advertisements; definitely a locals only type of spot. Thankfully Sha is a regular, because she ordered us all the good stuff. At the end, we certainly believed the hype.
This eggplant dish comes in a bowl of sauce that should really come with a bowl of rice. Too good.
I can’t remember the name of this roll, but that little red dot on the top of it is a plum puree. GTFO.
And finally, the winner. The food that Sha actually calls her favorite. It’s miso seabass, and it tastes like butter!
