WEEKEND PLANS May 27 2011
This is going to be a good Memorial Day weekend.
First, Backside Echo Park celebrates its Grand Opening with a free concert at The Echo on Sunday, May 29. I’ve known Eric for years now, I’ve seen the Burbank location evolve, and I’ve been part of their team for the last two years. So to see Backside grow with a new space is very fulfilling for me.
Secondly, Bambu has his homecoming concert with the final Smuggler’s Tour Stop at The Roxy on Monday, May 30. Joining him on the bill are Thurzday, Rhythm Natives, and Malcolm & Martin. This stop is fully sponsored by my creative management company, Rick & Ray. This is the first time we’ve done something like this, so come to the show and share this moment with me!
