THE ESSENTIALS (PART TWO) January 28 2010
Kim, CA’s Chief of Operations, lets you in on her daily essentials.

Starbucks and diet soda
How does the saying go? “Water is the drink of life.” But for me, water isn’t a favorite; there is no enticing flavor. I would probably go through withdrawals without at least one grande mocha, nonfat, with whip a day. It’s a great pick me up on those days when you can’t seem to get it going, and it’s great to warm you up on cold LA days. If I’m not drinking a cup of java, it’s probably a diet beverage. Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper is preferred.

Blackberry and bluetooth
I don’t think I’d survive without my bluetooth headset. It seems weird now to hold up the phone to my ear when everything can be hands free. My Blackberry keeps me connected with everything and everyone. Be it for business or social networking, it keeps me up to date with everything that’s going on.

Franklin Covey organizer
Though I’m glad for the technological advancement made over the years, I’m still old school when it comes to scheduling and to do lists. I like physically writing things down and crossing things off my list. The Rhythm Natives constantly make fun of me when I bring this thing out, but I love my organizer.

Sunglasses
This is an essential part of any outfit. However, I don’t only wear it for fashion purposes. Bright light and the glare that it comes with is not the biz.

Books
Instead of using movies as an escape, a good book does well enough. I read anything from coffee table style reads, to classics, to history, to chick lit. I’m currently reading “Have a Little Faith” by Mitch Albom (even though the picture doesn’t indicate that).
