Blog

PRE ORDERED August 6 2009

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a list of websites you check as soon as you get online. (I hope CA is one of yours.) Before delving into real work, I spend a solid hour or two reading news, gossip (so what?), design blogs, fashion blogs, or friends’ blogs. One site that I’ve been following for a long time is The Sartorialist. If this isn’t part of your web routine, The Sartorialist is a photo journal of looks around the world that founder Scott Shulman and staff deem as great. What Shulman et al capture best is self expression. The whole outfit becomes the medium, in this case. Anyone can buy a simple white t-shirt, but it’s a matter of how you wear it and what you pair it with. So far, I can honestly say that there isn’t a photographed style that I didn’t like.

Next week, The Sartorialist comes to you in the form of paperback or limited edition hardcover. I pre-ordered mine today on Amazon. It isn’t just your ordinary coffee table book, it’s a collection of perhaps the best fashion photography I’ve ever seen.
