CA x DEFTUNE July 4 2009
On the sidebar, you’ll see a flyer of an event hosted by Deftune. Deftune is a music blog that focuses on promoting independent artists and labels, something that CA likes to do as well (i.e. Rhythm Natives, The Big Pill). The ‘scene’ can be so diluted and so corporately dictated that the good stuff stays behind it. Deftune rectifies that with their DJs who focus on independent talent.
Because there is an obvious similarity in principle, we teamed up with them on their event on July 11 at the Airliner. And so have the Solutionaries and Simple Citizens - two hip hop bands worth listening to and seeing live. Of course the Deftune DJs will be on deck, and an open mic will be available. Experience the hustle and the hardcore with all of us next Saturday.
