BEST OF OH NINE December 14 2009
We are fast approaching the end of the year. For us, it means mapping out our goals for 2010 with new releases, music, interviews, etc. For the blog, it means we get to start our best of series that goes on til the end of the month. We began this last December, where Kim and I would reflect on the year and give our top picks for certain categories. First up, best movie of 2009.
We originally started off with choosing between two movies each, but after reviewing a list of what came out this year, we ended up with a top 5.
KIM
Star Trek: I never thought of seeing myself as a trekkie, but after seeing this I may reconsider.

Time Traveler’s Wife: One of the best book-to-movie adaptations ever made.

Princess and the Frog: Disney animation is back.

Blind Side: True heart wrenching sports story.

The Ugly Truth: Romantic comedy, but more comedy than romantic. And, it stars Gerard Butler.

TRICIA
The Hangover: Wolfpack, the Doug we are looking for is a white, you try to F on me - probably the funniest movie I have ever seen. It came out in June, and I still quote it almost everyday.

Where the Wild Things Are: Because my favorite childhood book came to life on the big screen. Just read my entry about it.

Up: Disney Pixar 3D with a fat Asian kid, talking dogs, and balloons. Possibly Pixar’s funniest effort.

Coraline: The most beautiful 3D movie I have ever seen (all done in stop motion). And it’s got a bad ass accompanying website.

(500) Days of Summer: Excellent soundtrack to a not so love story. It was also filmed in LA where I learned about the now infamous Angels Knoll Park.
