90s NIGHT August 15 2009
To unwind from the week, we went to Soul Sessions last night for their tribute to the 90s. For me, hip hop and R&B peaked during that decade of beepers, flannel tees, and knee high socks. It was the time that I actually fell in love with music, the time that I made the conscious effort to listen to my walkman while my parents jammed to KOST 103.5 in the car. We were taken back last night with Common, Biggie, Aaliyah, Jodeci, Keith Sweat, et al.
We really only have that picture to share because we were 1) so immersed in the music and 2) Grand Star has such poor lighting that even with a high ISO, I couldn’t take a good shot. So I leave you with a few of our favorite 90s jams. There are sooooo many to choose from. Enjoy.
