MAKING MY ROUNDS February 28 2009

I started in Irvine for the Rhythm Natives show and the official release of our collab tee.

Bambu gave a lecture for the event on the Filipino-American hiphop experience.

Then I drove up to Long Beach to hang with Dave and Ven at Beatrock. Much to my surprise, Pro People Youth was there hosting a leadership workshop to both high school and college youth. Today's topic was public speaking.

Dave and I briefly spoke about our upcoming collaboration. We're still in the conceptualizing phase.

I ended the night in Garden Grove with RED8. But I'll tell you about that another time.

CA x RN February 28 2009

Introducing our first collab tee with the Rhythm Natives.

The Rhythm Natives are performing today at UCIrvine. These tees will be available at the event. Beatrock and Eagle Rock Underground will also carry these tees. But these will not be online. You have to either visit one of those stores, or watch a Rhythm Natives show. Don't sleep.

SESSIONS February 20 2009

Over the last two days, we've been spending some time with The Rhythm Natives. We finalized our collaboration tee that eventually made its way over to Sunday. We'll be releasing it on Saturday, February 28 at their gig in UCI. It'll also be online and at Beatrock, Long Beach. Stay tuned.

COFFEE AND CIGS January 8 2009

At the end of November, I met with Matt (Rhythm Natives, Lifeswell) for a brainstorming session about the biz. He and the boys wanted to expand by adding clothing to their name. We talked strategy and collaboration, and then December happened. It was a busy month for us with the holiday release, and stocking Beatrock and Backside. Matt and I were bound to reconvene.

Last night we caught up by sharing new developments, exploring the idea of snap back caps, and setting the stage for Lifeswell x Chicharon Adventures. February is looking bright.

OFF THE 5 December 24 2008

Besides their notorious police force and no smoking laws, the city of Burbank is also known to house Backside - a boutique store for all your streetwear and music needs. We were at the shop last night to drop off our crewnecks which are now being sold there.
