My 15 hour day at Disneyland last weekend ended with a rare treat. I didn't know that there was an art gallery along Main Street; I usually go straight to Tomorrowland for Space Mountain and then to Neverland for Peter Pan's Flight. It's like clockwork. For a limited time, this hidden treasure features "The Art of Disneyland" - various artists and their perception of the park and its famed characters. Below were some of my faves.

Besides trashy celebrity news publications and art/business/fashion/political ones, too, I like to read Interview Magazine. I cannot for the life of me remember when I bought my first issue, but I do remember being intrigued by its large format and intense photographic layout. Any text on the front cover was overshadowed by the full face of the 'interviewee'. And on the inside, you'd delve into the featured life by reading a no bullshit style of dialogue.

With the launch of their new website, the magazine is even cooler. Packed with tons of content from various industries like fashion, film, and music, you can easily be on this site for hours (as I was). What I really enjoy is "cultural roulette" on the homepage. When you click on it, the site generates a random story. So far, I've read about the girls of Battlestar Galactica, the photography of Taryn Simon, Pharrell Williams, and Chester French.

It is now my goal for Chicharon Adventures to be on this site. I can envision it now.

COASTING November 22 2008

Most of Saturday was spent driving up and down the 405. We started in Long Beach to meet with Dave from Beatrock, had late lunch/early dinner in Manhattan Beach at El Tarasco, then Culver City for Scion's Big Geezers. The day was quite accomplishing. Our future with Beatrock is promising and carne asada junior deluxe burritos are always satisfying. But when we made it to Culver City, we were greeted with this.

I would've appreciated a memo, but I'll try to make it on Wednesday. We've been pretty busy with the Holiday '08 release. Yep, you read right.
