THINGS TO DO July 31 2010
Our friends at the Flock Shop in Chinatown are throwing the Make it Funky Festival today featuring 6 music areas with bands and DJs, an artwalk/gallery with 25 live artists, a vendor village and a food truck court. Starts at 2p and goes til midnight.

Then tonight in Pasadena at 72 North, our boys Rhythm Natives have a show featuring Gabe and Jake of The Big Pill. They haven’t performed together on stage yet so it’ll be a treat to see them jam out. They go on at 1030p.

DAY IN THE LIFE July 30 2010
We’ve been recently working with DJ Jay-P of A-List Entertainment, DP Sound, and MySpace. Earlier this week, he opened for Flo-Rida and New Boyz at the Avalon in Hollywood where a diary segment was being filmed for him. Check out the DJ who always takes care of us and plays the best old school R&B sets at the club. Look out for his mixtape dropping soon. We’ll remind you about that one, though.

BACK FROM THE DEAD July 29 2010
I was terribly sick for the last two days. Barely picked up any calls, and surely didn’t turn on a computer. Let me catch up, and then I’ll be back full force. Peace for now.

WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE July 26 2010
Portraits of the Proletariat Part 2 at Dream Jungle Tattoo this past Saturday, where music, art, and fashion came together under one roof. Bambu and Rhythm Natives played a set together in a spot that exhibited pieces by artists under the Beatrock Artist Kollective umbrella and documented by us, Oishi Media, and photografiya. That was a mouthful. AYO!

Shout out to Manila Ryce for putting the event together. Who won the auctioned piece??
