LA VISUALS June 25 2010
Last week, we met with LA based artist, Eyeone, at his studio. He was prepping for his next curated show, Rendition2, a collection of images fed by the experience of living in Los Angeles, that opens tonight at the Hold Up Art gallery in Little Tokyo. We’ve known and admired his artwork for a long time. Anyone in LA has known and admired his artwork for a long time. He’s been a staple in Los Angeles’ visual culture for years. To be in the environment where he hones his craft, was inspiring. Stay tuned next week for our interview with Eyeone. But in the meantime, visit the gallery and check out his work along with other Angeleno artists.

50 YEARS June 21 2010
Last Saturday, JapanLA celebrated Sanrio’s 50th Anniversary by hosting an afternoon shindig at their store on Melrose. We were on deck to join in on the fun, to check out the Girl x Hello Kitty collab, and to get a little nostalgic over characters like Little Twin Stars, Ahiru no Pekkle, and Tuxedo Sam. Kim even got a free hat.
