IT’S A WRAP April 25 2010
We finished the second and final day of shooting for Bambu’s “The Queen is Dead” music video. The highlight of the day was Marvin (Oishi Media) asking Joy Bisco to re-enact the hand scene from “The Debut”. Hilarious.

Let’s get to post.

ON THE REGULAR April 22 2010
So I have this list of sites that I go through every morning when I start my day. It keeps growing as I learn of new sites, and friends starting blogs, etc. Here’s what I’ve been reading lately. Get hip to this (if you aren’t already).
2DOPEBOYZ - for my daily music fix. Most of you will probably clown me for learning of this so late, but I don’t care.

Diggy Simmons’ blog - this kid has maaaad swag. I hadn’t heard about him since Run’s House on MTV. It now looks like he’s doing some fashion and music stuff. I’ll respect that.

Alex Rapada Photography - this is my friend, Alex’s, site/blog. I turn to it for inspirational photos. Amazing work.

Orbiting Io - I met Janine last Sunday at the music video shoot. She does capoeira and has a beautiful daughter. We started to follow each other on twitter, and I learned of her blog that includes music, stories of motherhood and womanhood, and spirituality.

And finally the tumblr series for a little bit of everything.

CHARACTERIZE April 21 2010
I’m very excited about this collaboration, and I hope that it will hit stateside soon (Japan always gets the love!!). Earlier this year, the news had surfaced about Baby Milo of Bape and Sanrio coming together. I kept it in the back of mind since I hadn’t heard anything soon after that. And now it has become official. Kim and I are huge fans of both brands. We grew up on Sanrio - pencil cases, ring watches, friends only files - and we now draw inspiration from the success of Nigo and Bape. The collab is a perfect fit, and it’s only a matter of time before Baby Milo becomes a global sensation like his new friend, Hello Kitty.
