Glastonbury is the largest musical festival that occurs in the UK every year. Headliners of the festival are normally classified as rock, alternative, folk--it has a tradition of guitar music. This year, however, hip hop was added in from none other than the Hova. The new lineup was a shock to many, especially for Noel Gallagher, lead singer of the band Oasis. He said that adding Jay-Z was wrong. Glasto took place this past weekend, and Jay-Z performed as planned. He did 99 problems, but not before he did this:
Back in LA. KimCA and I are huge fans of DJ mixes. We've got a pretty good collection from DJs like Richard Humpty Vission, AM, Jay-P, Myster-E, and Mike Relm. Take these mixes on road trips like we did, and you're good. For this trip, we brought along some new ones from Mike Marvel. I came across his site a few weeks ago and bought his goods. Some slow jams, 90s, 80s, and everything in between. Check out the packaging on his 90s mix. Well worth it. Plus he's a Chicharon Adventures wearer (particularly the Cultural Identity tee). Before going home, we had sushi at one of our favorite spots, Shogun. They have an interesting set up at the restaurant. Against the traditional Japanese decor and sake advertisements, is a wall of customer photos taken by polaroid. Some of them are like a decade old. Customers have also taken it upon themselves to tag up that same wall. So I did the same. With our sticker.
Happy Birthday, Fed. We miss you. 7 of your favorite drink:
I went downstairs to meet the family for some brunch, and this is what I saw:
Day 2 of 4.
While the tables haven't been so good to me, Cokoy had some luck at another game which earned her 100 sweet tarts. Ahh, the sweet taste of victory. It's now 5am. And after watching drunk girls make fools out of themselves at the Venetian, it's time to call it a night.
